Early Childhood Program

Loving, learning and Serving in Christ name
It’s never too soon to start thinking about your child’s Preschool (3 year old) and Pre-Kindergarten (4 year old) academic journey. Research shows that children who participate in early childhood education perform better academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. During a child’s first five years their brain is the most receptive to learning than any other time in their development. Trinity’s well rounded early childhood program provides a developmentally appropriate play-based program supporting learning in all five areas of development. Trinity’s faith-based program nurtures spirituality by partnering with families to be an extension of the home in Christian training.
Educating your child’s mind, heart and soul.
Trinity’s Early Childhood program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and follows the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards. Our curriculum promotes early literacy, foundational mathematical concepts, early childhood and kindergarten readiness skills. In addition, through play-based learning and inquiry, the child will develop skills and understanding in the context of problem solving through play, talk and interaction.
Trinity offers before/after school care for our early childhood students. Cub and Tiger Care is housed on site, allowing for a seamless transition between programs. Additionally, it expands classroom learning opportunities while providing a safe, nurturing and enriching environment.
Preschool 3 year old (2 days per week)
- Children must be three years of age by Sept 30 of the entrance year and must be toilet-trained and independent with self-care in the restroom.
- Class sessions are Monday/Wednesday 9:00-11:15 or 12:30-2:45 or Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-11:15 or 12:30-2:45.
- 6:1 student to teacher ratios allow for more individualized attention and the ability to focus on the whole child, while still recognizing their individual styles of learning.
- Preschool is more than preparation for elementary school. It’s helping children begin to separate from caregivers and acclimate to a structured school setting. A positive foundation of acceptance, nurturing and emotional well being sets the tone for your child’s attitude toward school and helps them to begin discovering their own identity.
- Family and community partnerships involving field trips and special events help students learn about the community they live in and cultivate an understanding of new ideas. Fun and educational experiences create connections, develop cognitive, social and emotional skills.
